THE INFAMOUS 30 EAST DRIVE!

Thursday the 12th of January 2023

Throughout history, there has been a great number of famous worldwide known poltergeist hauntings. Few have come close to the hauntings of 30 East Drive. Back in 1966, Jean, Joe, Philip, and Diane Pritchard moved into the house. Within the first month of them living there, the poltergeist had decided to make his presence very clear. There has also been talk of a demon in the property. The activity led to the family being attacked; Diane was dragged up the stairs and into her bedroom and clear finger marks could be seen on her throat, Joe when in the coal bunker was locked in and attacked. After that, Joe turned to the bottle and soon after died in the upstairs bathroom. After several years, the family fled and never returned and since that time, no one has ever lived in it. Investigators from all over the world come to investigate the property and even just sit in the street looking at the property. I am here to tell you that all these years later the activity is still very much there after an intense night of investigating 30 East Drive.

Standing outside the property, you could feel a very watchful, oppressive energy radiating from the windows, especially the upstairs middle window. This increased a hundred times the moment we crossed the threshold. Walking around the property, it felt like being on a ship at sea or being a little drunk and off balance. The headaches upstairs were very strong and made you feel very heavy. I certainly felt that upstairs was where the activity really centred. In all my years of investigating, I had never felt such a hateful, oppressive energy. It was nothing friendly for certain.

Heading back down the stairs, near the bottom I smelt a new smell, one I didn’t particularly want to smell: Sulphur! It wasn’t just me who smelt it either, Nic did too. It has been commonly associated that smells of sulphur indicate the presence of a demon! Was this a warning of what awaits us as the night’s investigation begins?

Vigil one had us heading upstairs to the landing and bedrooms. Straight off the mark, the music box was activated just outside the bathroom and would not stop. It seemed the spirit known as Fred had come to have some fun. A sudden ice-cold breeze came up on me and stood right in front of me. Then J was touched very slightly on the back of the head a couple of times. His unnerved reaction I believe was the reason Fred chose him for some fun. Now we were getting intelligent responses to our questions. The EDI and the flashing cat balls on the floor started to activate. When asked if the spirit had touched J, it flashed blue to say yes. It was then that the door to Diane’s room opened slightly. The sound of the door handle creaking as it moved could clearly be heard.

At the start of the second vigil, we set up a REM POD by the piano and set up the table in the living room to do some glass divination. Seated around the table we began to spin the glass and call out to the spirits. Had Fred followed us from upstairs? After a little persuasion, the glass started to slowly move on the table building speed as it went. It was Fred and he moved the glass towards J hoping to speak to him. I could clearly sense the spirit standing over his left shoulder. I wasn’t the only one who could sense the spirit standing there. J felt like asking then if it was an unholy spirit. A question I really didn’t want him to ask. The spirit said no but said J was unholy. Even though we were getting on-demand responses, I don’t believe that every answer we received was true as the glass moved playfully around the table. Meanwhile, the REM POD was going crazy in the next room by the piano. I do not think this was the same spirit. I get a feeling that it was the spirits of a couple of children.

After shutting down the table divination, we headed back up to Philip’s bedroom to do some table tipping. It took a lot of work just to get the slightest movement to happen to the table. I was about exhausted from my effort. What happened in this room really did shock me! Standing extremely still around the table, as clear as day, we all heard footsteps making the floorboards creak coming into the room and towards us. They stopped just as they reached the table we were all standing by. With no more activity in trying to get the table to move, we brought the session to a close and started the third vigil.

In two groups now, we separated amongst the bedrooms. We didn’t have any real activity until we came to Philip’s room. After calling out for ages to get some activity, The REM POD on the stair banister alarmed and went wild. Though whatever it was would not respond to us intelligently. Then the door to Diane’s room opened slightly. What happened next was deeply unnerving! I went to go and shut the door and it felt like there was a weight on the other side of the door resisting against me from shutting the door; every time the door latched and I let go it came straight back open. All the time as I battled to shut the door, I could feel a deep hatred looking at me through the gap in the open door. It was like someone looking at me with blood-red eyes wanting to do harm! It takes a lot to frighten me and yet at that moment, I certainly felt on edge. After it had happened, I told Lisa (the organiser) and she was able to shut the door without a problem. What was on the other side of the door stopping me from closing it?  Just before we were about to head downstairs, the door to the parents’ room fully opened for the first time all night.

Nothing happened downstairs until we came to the coal shed. The moment we stepped inside, we had a really strong smell of Mango. Very odd considering it has never been used as a food store. Before we had even begun, the talking dictionary called Alice had brought up the word “Diablo” and then “bad feeling”. Diablo is Spanish for the devil! We eventually got responses to our questions which didn’t make any sense at first. The words “Port, Murphy, Weapon, Dope, Punctured, Beth, And, Trick” all came up. This didn’t make a lot of sense until we spoke to Lisa again at the end of the night. She told us that Joe was attacked in there and after that turned to the bottle: port, murphy, and weapon the computer said. Then she told us that people are complaining about someone who lives a few houses away always smoking dope. As for “Punctured, Beth” we can only guess at the moment. Maybe Joe was not the only person to have been attacked in the coal shed?  Was Beth a nickname for Elizabeth? Was Beth punctured by a weapon found in the coal shed? These are all questions I look to find answers for.

My conclusion of the night is that the house is still very active, and I would strongly advise anyone from living in that house. The spirit that has been named Fred because they weren’t sure which spirit it was is still very present, and I believe to be the nasty poltergeist called Simon. It’s hard to believe that such a small, normal 1950s counsel house could experience some of the most dangerous poltergeist activity in the world.  From what I experienced, I can confidently say that it is a very negative evil being and does not want anyone living there. I feel certain should someone live there once more that what happened to the Pritchard family will happen again! I shall be back to investigate again and find out more about what is there.
